Laura Galindo, Director of EOI La Orotava during a videoconference with Microsoft Teams.
Just a few months ago we commented how proud we were to be able to contribute to the digitization of the Official Language School of La Orotava thanks to the implementation of Microsoft 365 solutions and the great benefits that the continuity of the pedagogical process during the health confinement meant for the center.
The responsiveness and innovative practice that it meant for the training performance, generated an agile and collaborative environment remotely that would have been impossible to perform in person as its director confirms: "The virtualization of the educational environment with Microsoft 365 has allowed us to gain in agility and communicative efficiency".
Let's remember that the use of several applications of the collaborative ecosystem of Microsoft 365 allowed them among other advantages:
- Attend more than 1,500 calls during the confinement thanks to Microsoft Teams Phone System and significantly improve classes with its more than 1,000 students both virtually and face-to-face.
- Increase the personal storage capacity of the faculty and administrative team by 10,000% thanks to OneDrive.
- Increase document storage capacity by 500% thanks to SharePoint, allowing the management of the faculty's audiovisual material that could be consumed in the course with respect to their previous system.
- In addition to making a qualitative leap in its digital transformation.
Today we met again with its director, Laura Galindo, to learn more about the evolution that EOI La Orotava has experienced thanks to the virtualization of the educational environment in the cloud, and to discover what will be the next challenges in the short and medium term that the center will face in the digitization of its educational process.
