Intermodal Telematics (IMT) is a company that provides telematics solutions focused on the tank container and rail car industry. Providing coverage to its customers around the world, collecting data and displaying it to its customers, so they can know the status of their cargo and control the supply chain, acting on the spot in case of anomalies detected.

The need to provide maximum security in their solutions led them to analyze the market in search of the best tools to increase the level of security. The working environment, which is highly complex, is made up of different Cloud providers. This situation made them realize that the solutions offered by Google and AWS were not sufficient to meet their standards, nor those of their customers. Therefore, they analyzed the critical points of their infrastructure and chose to work with Microsoft tools, since they were transversal to all their user equipment (Linux, Mac, Windows 10 and 11), their servers (Linux and Windows Server) and they were also multicloud, since they work with Azure, Google Cloud and AWS.

Working together, Intelequia and IMT implemented Microsoft's security solutions (Microsoft Defender for EndPoint and Server, Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps, Azure Sentinel and Azure Active Directory Premium) using our SOC service to meet the needs of the company and its customers to ensure the integrity of all their data and information centrally in Azure.

Evaluating the data provided by the tools implemented in IMT, we can see that IMT is processing in a few weeks more than 400GB of data transferred between applications in the cloud. It has been possible to discover the applications used by the organization through the logs of its Firewall and Microsoft Defender for Endpoint.

This is the data that Intelequia manages and works with to provide the best possible security for IMT, acting when necessary and preventing them from having to invest time and effort in managing the company's IT security. Locating and managing the telemetry of over 100,000 containers is what is really important to IMT and its customers.

It is worth noting that security has been deployed in a multi-cloud environment and with different operating systems, which indicates that the tools provided by Microsoft are flexible and adaptable to all customers, even if they do not use Microsoft technologies.
